Suhas Vyas is the elder son and disciple of C. R. Vyas. He has also received training from other maestros, including Jagannathbuwa Purohit and Rajarambuwa Paradkar. In addition he received guidance from K. G. Ginde and S. C. R. Bhatt. His performances are marked with a deep and learned interpretation of the raga and a sense of rediscovering the tradition. His concerts are marked with innate beauty and poise. He is noted for a systematic rendition of compositions strongly tied to the traditions that he has learned in.

Raga Dhankoni Kalyan is a creation of his father C.R. Vyas.
