Each tanpura CD contains two 30-minute recordings of a four-stringed tanpura, tuned to the standard pitch of a = 440 hertz - great for pratice, concerts and sessions at home and while traveling.

The first 30 minutes are in the standard tuning of tonic, octave and fifth (Pa). The remaining 30 minutes are in an alternative tuning with fourth (Ma) instead of fifth. Tanpura CDs are available for Sa= d# and Sa= f. The recordings are either made in the USA by David Courtney or in Germany by India Instruments.
