The tabla backpack is basically a very light gig bag with two adjustable shoulder straps attached and a zipper added. That way you can carry it on your back like a backpack and the hands remain free, allowing you to ride a bike with your tabla, walk across uneven terrain, or carry other luggage, too.

When your back is not free, you can shorten the shoulder straps and convert them into handles. The tabla backpack is loaded from the top, with the baya lying at the bottom. The tabla is transversely placed on top of it and fixed in its position with the tabla rings.
