Data Collection and Storage

When you communicate with us for the first time, we set up a customer account for you in our company's own electronic data processing (EDP) system. Only authorized staff members have access to this company-owned EDP system. In your customer account we store all data which we consider relevant for our economic activity (name, street, house number, postcode, city, country, e-mail address and telephone number) and which you yourself transmit to us or which we can take from public sources (e.g. your website). You can send us your data by online form on our website (Shopping Cart, Contact, Newsletter) or by other means (e.g. by e-mail, telephone, letter or verbally). It can be personal data (e.g. name, street, house number, postcode, city, country, e-mail address, telephone number), inquiries, messages or orders.

The collection of personal data through our online forms (for example name, street, house number, post code, city, country, e-mail addresses or telephone number) is voluntary. You can make use of all of our chargeable services without providing any information on our online forms. You must then provide us with the necessary information to process your request in other ways (e.g. by e-mail, telephone, letter or verbally).

We use you stored data primarily for processing your specific request (e.g. to generate offers, invoices, shipping documents) or to fulfill contracts with you. Further data storage beyond this primary purpose documents your customer history. On the basis of this customer history, we can, for example, grant price reductions for subsequent purchases or provide specific individual advice.

Data Transfer to Third Parties
We will only pass on your stored data to third parties if this is necessary for order or contract fulfilment (e.g. we pass on name, street, house number, postcode, city, country, e-mail address and telephone number to companies commissioned by us to deliver goods ordered by you and to inform you about our shipment status, such as Deutsche Post / DHL or FedEx) or for pursuing our claims or if we are legally obliged to pass them on accordingly. Otherwise we will not pass on your personal data to any third party without your express consent.

Newsletter Data
If you would like to receive our free newsletter, we need an e-mail address from you. We also need information with which we can verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. We store this data in your customer account (see Data Collection and Storage above). We do not collect any further data for sending newsletters. We do not pass the data on to third parties.

You can informally cancel your consent to the storage of data, the e-mail address and its use for sending the newsletter at any time (e.g. by e-mail to music@india-instruments.com).

Please note that we are legally entitled to store the e-mail address that you provide when registering for our newsletter for up to 3 years after termination of the newsletter - for example to be able to legally prove a previously given consent. However, the correspondingly stored data will be kept exclusively for the protection of legal security.

Right to Information, Correction, Blocking and Deletion
You have the right at any time to receive information free of charge about your personal data stored with us, its origin and recipient and the purpose of data processing or to request copies of these data. You also have the right to have these data corrected, blocked or deleted. You can contact us at any time at the address given in the imprint if you have any further questions on the subject of personal data.

A complete deletion of your customer data is only possible if the storage of this data is not prescribed for commercial, tax or other legal reasons. Please note that your data will be irretrievably lost when completely deleted. Should you require these data for later use, you must request them from us and secure them before we delete them.

Cookies
Some of our internet pages use so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser. Cookies cannot be used to start programs or to transmit viruses to a computer. They serve only to make our offer more user-friendly, effective and secure. Based on the information contained in cookies, we can make navigation easier for you and enable the correct display of our web pages.

Most of the cookies we use are temporary cookies, so-called "session cookies". They contain information related to the current visit to our website (e.g. the content of your shopping cart). Temporary cookies are deleted after your visit to our website or when you close your browser. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognize your browser the next time you visit our website.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or generally and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. When cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited.

Technically Required Data: Server Log Files
When you access our website, different information about your visit is collected. The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are visited pages, browser type and browser version, operating system used, referrer URL, host name of the accessing computer (IP address), time of the server request and duration of access.

This information is technically necessary in order to correctly deliver the content you have requested from websites and is mandatory when using the internet. The information is not used to draw conclusions about your person. We reserve the right to check these data subsequently if we become aware of specific indications of abuse or illegal use.

Data Transmission Security
Our website uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as requests and orders you send us. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line. If SSL encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be legally read by third parties.

We would like to point out that data transmission on the internet (e.g. communication by e-mail) may be subject to security gaps. A complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Web Hoster
Our website is operated on server systems of Alfahosting GmbH, Ankerstraße 3b, 06108 Halle (Saale), Germany. Alfahosting uses a data center in Leipzig, Germany. As part of our cooperation, we do not pass on any personal data about your visit to our website directly to Alfahosting. However, it may happen that Alfahosting, e.g. as part of maintenance work, gains at least potential access to personal data. Appropriate data protection agreements ensure the protection of your personal data even in such cases.

Changes to the Data Protection Declaration
We reserve the right to update parts of this data protection declaration as required so that it always complies with current legal regulations or to present changes to our services. The updated data protection declaration then applies to your renewed visit.
